Privatization of technical education has given opportunities
to youngsters to become an engineer. As the number of aspirants
who are becoming engineers is increasing day by day, it is
becoming very difficult for the Government to arrange for
government jobs for them. Interestingly, students are preferring
private jobs rather than government jobs. Therefore, interaction
of Institute with industries has become utmost important.
MIT arranges visits of students to various business and industrial
establishments. Students are sent to their respective Departments
in the industries. These interactions give them a chance to
come out from theoretical world and face the reality. The
Institute has strong links and collaboration with some industries
for inculcating practical knowledge to the students.
Seminars and Conferences:
Seminars, workshops and conferences are integral part of
the learning process. To have comprehensive knowledge about
any subject, exchange of information and knowledge through
these activities is essential. Hence, the Institute arranges
seminars, conferences etc. at regular intervals. Institute
has chalked out a program for faculty and students to participate
in various seminars and workshops which are being organized
by other institutes and industries of repute. The faculty
members are encouraged to participate in national and International
conferences so as to present their research finding and enhance
their knowledge.
Personality Development Programme :
" Knowledge is power" is an old proverb however
, in the present time it should be read as " Knowledge
is success". Hence, intelligent blending of the knowledge
and personality is necessary. Keeping this in mind, Institute
is developing an effective personality development cell to
build up confidence and to bring out the talent of the students.
Personality Development Cell will organize different events
such as english classes, essay competitions , extempore debate,
quizzes, seminars, interviews and conferences. The Institute
is also proposing to hire external agency for providing expert
advice and training to MIT students. This exercise will be
taken seriously so that students will be able to present themselves
effectively.
